With 650 students attending #Blitzit 2018 we would appreciate it if you could read the instructions carefully and be on time for racing. If you miss your race, we cannot guarantee that you will get another opportunity to race.

Please ensure that you are in Trinity Sports Centre as early as possible but at least 45 minutes before your race in order to register and warm up as racing will start at 10:00am sharp. You will be directed to registration in the hall by Trinity staff.

The cost for the day is €3 per participant and this can be paid on the day at registration.  At registration you will be given a registration card for your teams and asked to verify their names.

There is no parking permitted on campus for non-permit holders, however there is a set down area for coaches on Nassau Street. Fleet Street car park is just a short walk away too, you can find other nearby car parks on the Parkrite.ie website https://bookings.parkrite.ie/CarPark/ListDetails/9

Those wishing to do campus tours can register with our staff at the registration table.  The tours will be given by the University Boat club students and will be supported by Trinity College Sports Department.

A few household matters:

Please be aware of exit signs and fire exits for the day.

Please do not wander around the sports centre, it is still a working gym and office building.

COMPETITION RULES

Pulling the chain between changeover is not allowed in our events – please do not do this – we need to respect the machines as well as each other.  If your team are found to be pulling the chain, the team will be given a warning.

Please do not touch the pre-set resistance.

Please make sure you know the time of your race and are ready to race in advance of that time.

There is very little time between races so please move away from your machine as soon as you have finished your race and the next team, please be ready to get on your machine as soon as the other team get off.

The umpire’s decision is final in all cases.

You MUST HAVE your registration card for racing.

Please make sure that you are satisfied with the final time entered on the card.  There can be no changes once results are submitted.

Trinity Tours are available for booking on the half hour from 10:30am if you book a tour please turn up and make sure that you are back for your race and the prize giving ceremony.
