Coming up this week on Rowing Irelands “Row with the Pros”
On Tuesday evening 30th March at 7pm World Masters Indoor record holder at 500m and 1000m Kenny MacDonald will do an interval erg session. 1,2,3,2,1 minutes work with 1 minute light x 2.
On Wednesday evening 31st March at 7.30pm. Kathy Anning from Bridge Yoga Centre will be doing another Yoga session, Kathy is a fully qualified lyengar yoga teacher and has been practising for 20 years, Kathy has tailored a yoga session for rowers. Yoga is an excellent cross-training tool that can help improve your performance in rowing through balance and mobility training. By lengthening tightened muscles, yoga addresses muscular imbalances and increases your range of motion. It also increases mental concentration, improves hip and shoulder flexibility, and helps prevent and rehabilitate from common sports injuries.
On Thursday evening 1st April at 5.30pm high performance athlete and Irish Indoor champion 2021 Natalie Long is back and she will be doing 3 x 12 minutes with 3 minutes rest rating 20-26
