If you have even a few hours each week and love rowing, the Get Rowing programme would love to have you working with us.
Get Rowing introduces rowing to secondary school students. Classes vary in terms of frequency and times, although they’re always during school hours; sometimes they’re held at schools, sometimes at our partner boat clubs.
Maybe you’re retired and want to try something new, maybe you’ve got little ones at home and can make time while they’re at creche or school. You’d be perfect for the job. Maybe you’ve only recently joined the sport—not to worry, your enthusiasm and beginner’s knowledge of rowing combined with our lesson plans will see you through.
Get Rowing is really rewarding work. This is a wonderful programme that introduces a sport that we all love to students who are quite keen to learn and always up for some racing and a good time.
Qualifications:
• Garda vetting
• Child Safeguarding course (we can help with this)
• Rowing Ireland’s Intro to Coaching (we can help with this, too)
We need coaches in the Greater Dublin, Limerick, and Cork areas both during the school year and summers for our Learn to Row Camps. To find out more, please contact Leinster Coordinator Aoife Byrne (DublinCoordinator@RowingIreland.ie) or Munster Coordinator Amy Johnson (LimerickCoordinator@RowingIreland.ie or CorkCoordinator@RowingIreland.ie).
