Dear All, 

Entries for the  Belfast blitz 2025  are now open .

The blitz will feature relay races over a distance of 2000m on indoor rowing machines. We will start at roughly 12 noon, beginning with the first-year categories of local schools, and run until roughly 2:00pm.

Four race categories are on offer, teams can be comprised as follows:

Rowability girls, boys: For students with special needs, whether physical or intellectual (please contact us with details so that we can provide accommodations to ensure students can have their best races!)

Year-group girls, boys: 5 participants, only 2 of whom can be experienced rowers (those who row or have rowed for a rowing club).

Open girls, boys: 5 participants, all of whom can be experienced rowers. Teams can have students from Years 8-10 or Years  11 & 12.

Open Mixed: 4 rowers, 2 girls, 2 boys, any year group.

Please complete the registration form below to secure your school’s place at the 2025 Belfast Blitz. Note that to enter multiple teams, you’ll click the plus icon next to the ‘Category’ box. Entry fees are £20 per team and £4 per Rowability athlete. However, payment of the entry fee should not be a barrier to participation, please get in touch with NI Co-ordinator Caroline OBrien caroline@rowingireland.ie.
