Summer Rowing Camp with The Bish, Galway
Get Going Get Rowing will be running summer camps on behalf of St. Joseph’s (The Bish) Rowing Club in Galway.
Camp will take place Monday, August 17 through Thursday, August 20. These camps are sold out as of 9/8/26.
Rowers must be entering First Year through Fifth Year and the cost is €120 per participant.
Rowing is a fantastic sport for so many reasons: It takes a totally different skill set than land-based sports, there’s a different team dynamic, you’re out in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings, and you can’t even learn it until you’re in your early teens. So you’ll be on the water with other total beginners.
These on-the-water rowing camps are designed to introduce young people to all aspects of the sport, both on the water and off. Our camp incorporates the innovative Olympic Values Education course developed by World Rowing and Youth Sports Trust International. And they’re tons of fun. Please note that they are geared toward total beginners. Rowers will be in touring quads (“tremmies”) and will wear life jackets all week long. This will set them up well for future membership in a club, where they will use racing boats.
