Derry/Londonderry Summer Camps 2026

Let Get Going Get Rowing show you how to row on the water this summer! Our Derry camps will be held at City of Derry Boat Club Victoria Road, BT47 2NS (beside Foyle Search and Rescue). Rowers must be aged 12-16 and the camps are free this year as they are being delivered in partnership with Derry & Strabane City Council.

Rowing is a fantastic sport for so many reasons: It takes a totally different skill set than land-based sports, there’s a different team dynamic, you’re out in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings, and you can’t even learn it until you’re in your early teens. So you’ll be on the water with other total beginners, just like you!

These on-the-water rowing camps are designed to introduce young people to all aspects of the sport, both on the water and off.  Our camp incorporates the innovative Olympic Values Education course developed by World Rowing and Youth Sports Trust International. And they’re tons of fun.

Camps will run Tues – Friday – 10am – 2pm.
