Dublin City #BlitzIt Thursday 24th October 2024

It’s that time of year again! Our Dublin City #BlitzIt Indoor Rowing event is back and will take place in Trinity College Dublin on Thursday 24th October. Racing will take place from 9:30am to 2:30pm in the Trinity Sports centre.

This will be the first event in our 2024/25 #Blitzit Series, and your school’s first opportunity to earn points in our year-long competition.

The event will be open to all secondary school year groups from any of our participating schools. However, participants should have less than six months of rowing experience. Any students with more than six months of experience should enter into the Open category.

We will have the following events available on the day:

1st Year Girls 2000m – 5 person relay team

1st Year Boys 2000m – 5 person relay team

2nd + 3rd Year Girls 2000m – 5 person relay team

2nd + 3rd Year Boys 2000m – 5 person relay team

Junior Mixed – 4 person relay team

Rowability Junior Individual 200m sprint

TY + 5th Year Girls 2000m – 5 person relay team

TY + 5th Year Boys 2000m – 5 person relay team

Senior Mixed 2000m – 4 person relay team

Open Girls 2000m – 5 person relay team

Open Boys 2000m – 5 person relay team

Open Mixed 2000m – 4 person relay team

Rowability Senior Individual 200m sprint

The entry fee is €20 per team and €2 per entry in the rowability categories. If cost is a barrier to your school entering, please contact us.

In the event of a low entry in a category, teams will be moved into the closest possible category.
