Limerick Summer Rowing Camps 2023
If learning to row is on your summer bucket list, let Get Going Get Rowing show you how! We will be running 4 rowing camps this summer at Shannon Rowing Club in Annacotty, Co. Limerick. Participants must be aged 12-16 and the cost is €100 per participant.
Rowing is a fantastic sport for so many reasons: It takes a totally different skill set than land-based sports, there’s a different team dynamic, you’re out in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings, and you can’t even learn it until you’re in your early teens. So you’ll be on the water with other total beginners, just like you!
These on-the-water rowing camps are designed to introduce young people to all aspects of the sport, both on the water and off. Our camp incorporates the innovative Olympic Values Education course developed by World Rowing and Youth Sports Trust International.
These camps add to the very successful ones that we run in Dublin and Cork. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates as we hope to add more weeks in the very near future! So far we’re offering camps the weeks of:
July 3-7 9:30am-12:00pm at Shannon Rowing Club in Annacotty
July 31-Aug 4 9:30am-12:00pm at Shannon Rowing Club in Annacotty
Aug 7-11 9:30am-12:00pm at Shannon Rowing Club in Annacotty
If booking for a group of more than three, please contact Amy at LimerickCoordinator@RowingIreland.ie prior to completing your booking. You can register here, and if you have any questions, email Amy at LimerickCoordinator@RowingIreland.ie. Once registered, you should receive a confirmation email (check your junk mail folder!) and then you’ll hear from us again the week before camp with details about what to bring.
