Limerick Summer Rowing Camps 2024
Let Get Going Get Rowing show you how to row on the water this summer! Our Limerick camps will be held at Shannon Rowing Club in Annacotty. Rowers must be aged 12-16 and the cost is €110 per participant.
Rowing is a fantastic sport for so many reasons: It takes a totally different skill set than land-based sports, there’s a different team dynamic, you’re out in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings, and you can’t even learn it until you’re in your early teens. So you’ll be on the water with other total beginners, just like you!
These on-the-water rowing camps are designed to introduce young people to all aspects of the sport, both on the water and off. Our camp incorporates the innovative Olympic Values Education course developed by World Rowing and Youth Sports Trust International. And they’re tons of fun.
Camps will run 10am-1pm every day.
Our camp 29 July-2 August will be a traditional learn-to-row camp, while our 19-23 August camp will welcome back those who have already done a camp this summer, in addition to those who have never rowed before, with everyone transitioning into racing shells as soon as they are ready!
You can register here, and if you have any questions, email Amy at LimerickCoordinator@RowingIreland.ie. Once registered, you should receive a confirmation email (check your junk mail folder!) and then you’ll hear from us again the week before camp with details about what to bring.
