The schools portion of our #CatchMeIfYouCan has come to a close. The winner of the Concept 2 Erg will be announced on our Instagram and Facebook (@get_rowing) pages on Monday, May 27. In the lead-up to this year’s Olympic games, Rowing Ireland’s Get Going Get Rowing Programme has created an incredible opportunity for students across Ireland to challenge themselves on the rowing machine while also getting to know our Irish Olympic hopefuls. 

This free programme is called “Row to Paris—Catch Us If You Can!” Schools will be paired with one of our high performance athletes, and every week for 5 weeks they will send fun videos to students, sharing stories about themselves, the sport of rowing, and their health and training regimen. At the end of the video, they will issue the school a challenge in kilometers to cover for the week to come.

Schools will earn points for the distance they cover in relation to their athlete’s challenge. Their points will be posted on the Get Going Get Rowing Instagram and Facebook page every week. The school with the most points after 5 weeks will win a rowing machine from Get Going Get Rowing!
